Adventitious rooting and anatomical aspects of Campomanesia phaea stems

چکیده
Current literature is lacking regarding the vegetative propagation of cambuci tree (Campomanesia phaea O. Berg Landrum). This study aimed to verify efficiency cutting techniques via assessment cuttings varying types and sizes, sampling dates, influence treatments containing plant growth regulator indolebutyric acid (IBA) combined with antioxidant ascorbic across different immersion times. The species was found not develop adventitious roots easily, hence, herbaceous woody stem materials were subjected histochemical studies elucidate their anatomical physiological processes. To this end, material polymerized in glycol methacrylate resin, cut into sections, stained using toluidine blue (0.05%) or staining PAS/naphthol black. Anatomical analysis structures revealed presence phenolic compounds sclerenchyma tissue, which turn are expected negatively impact development roots.

Mineral nutrition and adventitious rooting in microcuttings of Eucalyptus globulus.
We characterized the adventitious rooting response of Eucalyptus globulus Labill. to various concentrations of calcium, nitrogen, phosphorus, iron, manganese, zinc, boron and copper. The parameters analyzed were percent rooting, root number, root length and mean rooting time. Root number and root length were significantly affected by mineral nutrition, whereas mean rooting time and rooting perc...

In forest production systems, vegetative propagation of elite clones through adventitious rooting is a common practice. In Chile, adventitious rooting is the main methodology for vegetative reproduction of Pinus radiata. However, the capability of produce adventitious roots in gymnosperms decreases with aging. While it is true that some efforts have been made to identify markers or/and regulato...
متن کاملMorphological and anatomical changes in stems of Aeluropus littoralis under salt stress
Salinity is one of the most important agricultural issues causing considerable yield reduction in agricultural crops. The main adverse effects of salinity are due to excess amount of sodium ions that is toxic to plant cells. Most halophytes are equipped with defense mechanisms enabling them to tolerate the salty habitats. Among grass plants, Aeluropus littoralis is a known monocots hal...
متن کاملWhen stress and development go hand in hand: main hormonal controls of adventitious rooting in cuttings
Adventitious rooting (AR) is a multifactorial response leading to new roots at the base of stem cuttings, and the establishment of a complete and autonomous plant. AR has two main phases: (a) induction, with a requirement for higher auxin concentration; (b) formation, inhibited by high auxin and in which anatomical changes take place. The first stages of this process in severed organs necessari...
متن کاملEthylene and auxin interaction in the control of adventitious rooting in Arabidopsis thaliana
Adventitious roots (ARs) are post-embryonic roots essential for plant survival and propagation. Indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) is the auxin that controls AR formation; however, its precursor indole-3-butyric acid (IBA) is known to enhance it. Ethylene affects many auxin-dependent processes by affecting IAA synthesis, transport and/or signaling, but its role in AR formation has not been elucidated. ...
